It is very true that time takes time; and, it is also true that a person is what he or she is made of — mud or metal!

You will keep learning lessons — easy or the hard way; and, it does take time to make mends and change yourself, your approach towards life, and the people around you. However, there, definitely, are chances and useful motivations.

Realizing the fact that there is something wrong is the most primary and vital step in the whole process of self-review and correction. Having a weaker and compromisable value system can allow people to stay indifferent in the face of injustice till, of course, it directly hurts them. Even in that case, such category of individuals will react or take some action not to stand against the wrong rather to find ways to get themselves out of the situation.

Such are the times and situations that test people, uncovering the materials they are made of — mud or metal.

Courage, bravery and steadfastness at such times define moral fibre for people who stay determined to stand with the right and righteous. No surprises, at all, in case this happens to be a minority group but is enough to keep the hope in “good” intact, offering lessons for many to learn, just in case.

Deceitful and untrustworthy people, with their selfishness wrapped in double-faced personalities, will manipulate such situations based on their self-seeking behavior. Sadly, they depend mainly on their cunning intelligence, living in a self proclaimed superiority which, in fact, is nothing but a fool’s world which might get ignored by people around them knowingly or unintentionally, but a time comes when they are unable to hold the false facade for a longer period of time, leaving them shameless.

It is for such lot that it is generally said that “you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time”, and this is their biggest misjudgment. As people around them might just ignore their over-smartness knowingly, they are mistaken to start considering this duplicitous behavior as a strength and keep scheming — might be harming others but, at the same time, getting trapped deeper and deeper in the muddle of their own lies. Such a terminal situation leaves them with no option but to hide and avoid.

It is a matter of time that all hypocrites are exposed, shedding their fake veils knitted with lies; and, we know that, time takes time!

Considering issues of mental health becoming more and more obvious due to a significant increase in awareness, it is important to be mindful of such characteristics of people who we may, unfortunately, have to engage with in our personal and/or professional capacities with very limited opportunity to avoid their direct or indirect negative and damaging influence on our lives — disturbing peace of mind and impacting mental health.
